What is NCTUE?
The National Consumer Telecom & Utilities Exchange (NCTUE) is a specialty consumer reporting system focused on telecommunications, pay-TV, home-security and utility account information. Its data can include account-opening information, payment history, delinquencies, unpaid closed accounts and related identifying information supplied by participating companies.
Why this matters: many consumers know about Equifax, Experian and TransUnion but have never heard of NCTUE. A specialty report can contain information that is different from what appears on a traditional credit report.
